Discover The Health Benefits Of Dancing

Discover The Health Benefits Of Dancing In My Collaboration Video

In my collaboration, I worked with one of my classmates named Princess. Her blog mainly focuses on dancing the Tobago jig. She taught me the basic steps of the Tobago Jig. This dance is popular in Tobago during the Heritage Festival.  With my blog, Health and fitness will explain the different benefits this workout. This exercise gives you a full body workout and helps you to tone your muscles. This includes your legs, waist, abdomen, arms and glute muscles. Regular movement tones muscles after repeated use and builds up your cardio-vascular rhythm naturally, as you move in time with the music. The sporadic motion of your arms and legs strengthen your long muscles as well as keep your joints well lubricated. And the Tobago jig is not just another local dance, it’s as much a part of us, our history, legacy and culture. Fun fact about the jig, it’s a dance that can be done almost anywhere, no matter the gradient of the hill you’re on. Seriously, they dance this jig, regardless of load, time or season. My collaboration with Ms. Ettienne goes on to show the basic steps in doing the jig in terms of feet and arm movements.

The video here explains the dance moves

After the dance session, I took a stroll and did a few quick exercises by the beach. It was fun…

When doing any major outdoor exercises, such as casual jogging or stretches, not gets your mind, body and spirit all aligned that working out by the beach. There’s just something about moving water to loosen tight limbs, wide, open expanse of space that allows the mind to be free and unwind and the harmonious blend or earth, sea and sky that centres your entire body.
